Special Meeting of the Corporate Authorities Village of Sugar Grove December 12, 2003 7:30 a.m. President Michels opened the meeting at 7:30 a.m Board Members Present: President Michels, Trustee Geary, Trustee Clark, and Trustee Bohler. Board Members Absent: Trustee Johnson, Trustee Williams and Trustee Wolf. Quorum Established. Also Present: Village Administrator Brent Eichelberger, Clerk Cynthia Welsch, Community Development Director Scott Buening, Public Works Director Tony Speciale, Chief of Police Brad Sauer, Attorney Andersson, Plan Commissioners; Tom Renk, Bob Dray, and Ed Saloga, David Burroughs of Engineering Enterprises, Ms. Barb Harty, and from Kimball Hill Homes or representatives of Kimball Hill Homes; Russ Vogel, Rich Young, Dave Waden and Chuck Hanlon. This meeting was of tour developments in the area that have components similar to those proposed in the Settlers Ridge Development. This meeting was designed to showcase similarities, and to help the Village of Sugar Grove make an informed decision on the proposed Settlers Ridge Development. All persons listed with the exception of Trustee Geary, Trustee Clark and Director Scott Buening traveled on a tour bus provided. The aforementioned individuals met the bus at the stops listed below and boarded the bus for the tour. The following is a listing of area visited and stops made. Leave Sugar Grove 7:45 Hometown Oswego 8:15 Prairie Cross (Grays Lake) 9:30 Centennial Crossing 11:00 Stone Fence Farms 12:15 Lunch 12:45 The Glens of Glenview 2:00 Municipal Center 4:00 As the bus traversed the subdivision the concepts that are similar and those items that did not work well were pointed out by Kimball Hill Homes representatives. The architectural features that were similar were also highlighted. The Village Board members took note of the areas and at times pointed out features that they would like to see or not see. The Board indicated that they would prefer not to give any direction or concrete thoughts on this tour but would submit their opinions at a later meeting.
